ASC Club Heat Race 2

The wind gauges were showing 15 knots with regular gusts up to 25 knots.  The wind plus some large waves made for a tiring day.  4 Mossies started, just.  Phil Flarety wasn’t satisfied with how wet he was getting, and decided to leave his crew and go and have to swim.  It’s always best to hook up before heading out on trap.  Then there was 3.  Simon and Sarah on “The Young Mariner” had a very tight race with Warrick and Erin on “Atreus”.  The lead changed several times with a very fast reach being the difference in the end with “The Young Mariner” taking the win.  Darryn Kopp on “Bullet” was close all day but finished in 3rd and was absolutely stuffed (might not have been the word he used), which isn’t surprising when you consider the photos.  Mosquito’s go quickest when they aren’t at periscope depth.  Maybe “Bullet” is armed....
